Gmail Watch blog

Gmail - Googles new kid is in beta stage and I am using it actively; my main aim is to trace it development (feature and evolution) and see if I can get some bugs (if any), news, and other information related to Gmail and Google.

Offical Google blog hacked by student

Update: According to Google it was not a hack: "We've determined the cause of tonight's outage. The blog was mistakenly deleted by us (d'oh!) which allowed the blog address to be temporarily claimed by another user. This was not a hack, and nobody guessed our password. Our bad." ... LOL

I first saw this post on Digg. According to him he visited the official Google Blog, and received a 404 error. Thinking that this message means "no url or blog here". Then he registered googleblog, and rest is history.

And now Google has fixed this problem. You can see official google response, and hacked page (flicker photo).

At the movement, it looks like some sort of bug exists in blogger system.
